Practice meets precision

Built for hands that learn by doing

Anatomy Works is a dedicated surgical wet lab where residents, fellows, and practicing surgeons rehearse anatomy on real specimens — away from the pressures of the operating room. Every detail of the space is engineered for repetition, feedback, and mastery.

Located in the heart of Williamsville, the lab hosts skills curricula, cadaver courses, and industry-led training for Western New York and beyond.

Who it's for

Three levels of training

Residents

Structured skills curricula that move trainees from fundamentals to independence — with repetition the OR can't always offer.

Fellows

Advanced, subspecialty-specific labs that bridge the gap between training and independent practice.

Surgeons

New-technique rehearsal, device onboarding, and cadaveric refreshers on your schedule, in a fully equipped lab.

The lab

Four stations.
Zero compromises.

Everything at a station exists for one reason: to make deliberate surgical practice as close to the real thing as possible. Take a photo tour →

01

Four independent stations

Fully outfitted dissection stations that let multiple teams work simultaneously — courses run, nobody waits.

02

Surgical lighting & suction

Each station carries its own task lighting and suction, so every field stays clean, bright, and controlled.

03

Imaging at the table

Intra-operative style displays bring fluoroscopy-style reference and imaging review right to the dissection table.

04

Big-screen instruction

Two 100-inch monitors give every station a clear view of live demonstrations, instructional video, and procedure walkthroughs.

05

Licensed for cadaveric specimens

Anatomy Works holds a New York State Non-Transplant Anatomic Bank License for the handling of cadaveric specimens.

Lab use & compliance

  • All applicable state and federal protocols must be maintained at all times while using the lab, including the handling of donated tissue.
  • Current OSHA, bloodborne pathogen, sharps, and related safety policies are posted in the lab and must be followed by everyone using the space.
